Swiss, Bacon and Beer Dip

For me the holidays mean creamy and cheesy comfort foods. This weekend I relaxed by making this simple and delicious Swiss, Bacon and Beer Dip. IMG_2856Ingredients:

  1. 8 0z. of softened cream cheese
  2. 1 and 1/2 cups of shredded swiss cheese (I used a swiss and gruyere mix)
  3. 1 cup medium bodied beer (I used Sam Adam’s Boston Lager)
  4. 1 teaspoon of worcestershire sauce
  5. Crispy bacon to top it off

  1. Add softened cream cheese and beer to saucepan and whisk over medium heat for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Add Swiss cheese and continue to whisk until it’s creamy and smooth.
  3. Add worcestershire sauce.
  4. Finally, top it all of with your cooked bacon bits!IMG_2848

    FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!! A cheese and beer dip, I have been looking for years since a bar I loved closed down and took their beer dip with them.
